I love this book. She is so real and so relatable. Everything she says feels like common sense with a dose of laughter - which diffuses the fear. Fear seems to be the reason people stay addicted. There are no scare tactics, great coping mechanisms and ways to diffuse the cravings until they go away. Because you have control over how you feel- and because really life is just about feeling good :) HIGHLY recommend and just gifted to my Dad for an early holiday gift!

Not like other quit-smoking resources :) Excellent recommendations as far as supplements to take to minimize withdrawal symptoms. Unlike many other quit-smoking resources, the author doesn't JUST focus on ways to distract from cravings, but actually recommends ways to REPAIR the brain and body after the damage caused by smoking. I plan to quit soon. I've already purchased my supplements, so I look forward to putting the actions in this book into practice and finally kicking this habit.

I have tried to quit smoking many times and never made it past a few days. With the help of this book and the supplements they recommended I have now been smoke free for 4 months. The book is funny and had none of the bs about quitting with no withdrawals that some other books did. I used the chewable vitamin c and found it to be super helpful for in the car. I did the exercises that were recommended even though they may seem a little silly. Try it!

5.0 out of 5 stars * Helpful and useful I bought this because I already take some supplements, and wanted to see the recommendations for supplementation that are in this book. I am taking pretty much everything she recommends, with a couple of useful exceptions. And I like her exercises. It's a useful book, and down to earth. The author is very transparent about her own struggles and her language is accessible and understandable. The book is really helpful in terms of why addictions are so hard to kick (at many levels, including some that were new to me), why they're not merely an issue of will power, and how to nurture, not judge, oneself when trying to make positive change.

I've been a smoker for 20 years, and have been attempting to be a non-smoker for almost as long. I've tried patches, gum, cold turkey, pills and a few other less conventional techniques, but nothing has helped me take that last big step towards being smoke-free. Until now. It's only been 30 days, which may not seem like a lot, but it's the longest length of time I've been without a cigarette in almost a decade. The odd craving is still there, but they don't last long, and the fact is - I just don't want a cigarette. Well, I do... It's hard to erase 20 years of behaviour in just one afternoon, but I'm still smoke-free 30 days on and I'm planning on being smoke-free from now on... The cravings pass quickly, and I know that if I do give in and buy a packet I'll feel disappointed in myself. Previously that feeling hasn't been enough to make me continue on the smoke-free path. I fully believe that Caroline has produced results. I'd recommend her to anyone looking to rid themselves of the burden of smoking.

Finally quit smoking! Thank you Caroline you most probably have saved my life and have definitely lifted my self-esteem. You have helped me kick a 30 year cigarette habit and I will always be grateful.
